Tuesday 28th Feb - Instructional Rounds in maths
From the Monash University Project, the Primary Leadership Team, Secondary Maths Teachers and the ESF Senior School Development Officer, Bec Clements will visit primary classrooms to discover students understanding of mathematical concepts and confidence in solving maths problems.
Wednesday 1st March - BOB mock competition in PAC at lunch time

Thursday 2nd March - World Book Day
World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

Luban Lock Challenge - submit your video
Each class can borrow a lock to explore how to unlock and lock it.
We would like to invite students to submit a video to show the process of unlocking and the secret tricks. You are welcome work in a team or a class and to do some research on this. How to submit the video: 1. Post your video link to padlet https://padlet.com/sychan/9jbp78fk4vzz 2. Include your team's name, class and individual names. 3. Selected videos will be shared in assembly on 3rd March These locks were created with accurate alignments and calculations in order make them work. The original creator was an ancient Chinese craftman called Luban. The idea was evolved and further developed on to modern days' versions and applied into architecture. |
